Suddenly Summer

Summer begins!

the ocean sequins sparkle, BBQ grills smoke

tender breezes float

Beach towels and umbrellas, flags unfurl

rosses on the dunes in bloom

girls in flipflops and shorts

Long line at the ice cream stand

at dusk

excitement , anticipation

suddenly it's summer

see you next week!

love

lizzy

gone to the beach....

  1. Nice poetic thoughts on summer's arriving--about time too...
Here, it's been the winds off the water--probably much like you've had, that have kept us so cold.
I hope to plant my marigolds this weekend in my pots about the front yard patio...
I've been working a bit in my old prepared Junky Journal--just feeling my way--mad some little paper mushrooms for decoration...
    such easy fun...
Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend hug to you and Mo

  2. I hope you're having summer weather, Lizzy. For us, the days vary from 60s to low 80s, and some nights into the 40s. I'm not complaining because I like the cooler weather. It just makes it hard to know what to wear.

  3. I'm waiting for summer - the part where you can just sit back, enjoy the slow pace of things, and the soft evenings. But, before that we're in the last throws of the school year which keep everyone busy. Look forward to your beach pictures.

Hi! I'm allowing comments from everyone, even anonymous for awhile, to see what happens. With comments moderation. Hopefully the awful porn spammer has gone elsewhere. Or you can always email me! I love to hear from everyone.
