November is a time of quandary: shorts or parka, boots or flip flops, flannel sheets or percale, soup or salad, AC or heater.. I don't really mind, just the ambivalently stacked piles of summer clothes can look a bit messy.
This week I promised a beach walk! These photos were taken late October into November. My planned Saturday walk was cancelled due to tornado warnings! Missed us, but the gale warnings remain with 30-40 mph winds, so Mo and I are staying mostly indoors. Chilly too, but warm by Wednesday. I must dig out my amaryllis and elephant ears, harvest final seed heads.
Don' wanna, mommy. Sand hurts my eyes!
Have a great week!

gone to the beach.....
Exquisite photos, Lizzy;)) And I love your wool work block--so perfect for November, isn't it? The last of the flowers, birds eating seeds and berries--wonderful work on this We are hoping for a few more warm-ish days for walking...our trees are on fire with colors in today's sunshine. Breathtakingly beautiful...
ReplyDeleteHugs for some nice walking days Julierose
Warm-ish days and cool nights here, but pretty nice so far. Not much color in the tree leaves, though, I guess it was too dry? Or maybe I haven't been around the right trees!
ReplyDeleteAlways love your 'walk' posts. How did you get such a perfect footprint with no other footprints in the picture??? No 'smudged' sand, either. You must have levitated.
It's been pretty quiet around here, not a lot going on, but next week may pick up. What are your plans for next week? Anything fun?
Wonderful photos! The sunset, the red vine on the weathered fence, the beach boardwalk... So very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteEeeek, glad the tornado misssed you. We're cooler again after a few hot days. Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week!
Love your photos! It is cold here now. Snowy and cloudy. I love it. Big rivalry game is tomorrow. Will watch from home. Bought myself a pine candle. Will see how I do (allergies) but it smells lovely. Kit
