Happy Easter! A Bunny or Two, and Easter eggs, plus a menu

Hi again! Easter update:

Mo's Bunny ears were found!

Other bunnies,

Chocolate Bunny is faux, a thrift shop find.

He looks so real.

A table runner I made years ago, I still love it. I love how the chickens are cooky cutter chickens, no attempt at all to be real. A Brannock & Patek pattern I think.

Easter eggs----I started with real, blown out eggs of many types from etsy and the flea, but Mo has chomped them up over the years, so now there's additional mixed in wooden, papier mache and plastic eggs, as long as they look fairly real.
I keep the bright colors separate, so they look like dyed eggs.

I still collect the German eggs when  i see them. The brown one is a rare color.

Easter Menu

Deviled eggs/ Carrot & celery sticks -"Bunny food" for starters

Main course:

Pork roast with garlic, onion, pepper, orange crust, made with TJ's pepper jelly and Valencia orange marmalade. (add the jelly toppings for the past 30 minutes only)

Brown gravy.

Basmati rice pilaf with fresh chopped parsley, lemon, and pine nuts

Quick-steamed asparagus with lemon-tarragon bearnaise sauce.

Garlic roasted Brussels sprouts

Wine, a German Riesling

Dessert: store bought chocolate coconut macaroons and pastel tinted meringues.

Happy Easter!

  1. YUM--sounds delish!! Love that cookie cutter
runner--and those eggs do look so real...Our daughter and son and family just left--a whirlwind visit--had lots of fun--we are
poop-ooed--I am not used to running around my yard with the girls and their dog...yikes...
Rain rain and more rain sprinkling throughout the day...hugs, Julierose

  3. Love the droopy-eared bunnies on the runner, and the bowl of real eggs. And of course the not-really-chocolate bunny!

Glad you found Mo's bunny ears, although he doesn't look to thrilled about it!

  4. You have quite a bit of Easter decor. I used to decorate when the kids were home, but this year I was out backpacking. I just barely got the winter quilts off the wall. LOL
