Little Quilt Sewalong and Tech Difficulties

Good evening, friends. I am just checking in briefly [EDITED. Pictures may be visible now?] ---I'm having a lot of issues with new phone/ old computer. I cannot get photos from my phone now, so what I am showing you are a few I emailed to myself. My blog relies on photos and I am very distressed about the issues I'm having.

Below is the start of my Humble Quilts sewalong. I discarded all my previous choices, due to criticism and, well, nevermind. I decided to go ahead and do the project, not to ''cut off my nose to  spite my face," as my dad so charmingly always said.

I wanted to do a red Christmas quilt, but didn't have the needed center focal fabric. In my stash, the turkey red floral is the only 4" motif that fit. Disregard the red and white bird toile behind the sewalong block, just for frame/ color.,
Part two posted by Lori tomorrow!

Mo had a sleepover with friends. He matches their decor!

If I can't post, I'll try to at least check in, and or email me at lizzzz.d@gmail.com

  2. This is why I gave up blogging. I couldn’t get my photos from Windows10. Oh! The frustration, so I know how you feel. They are improving( W10) slightly with each update they do.
I may get back to blogging one day.

  6. I love your choice of a center block; I am still looking for my center--nothing seems to "feel" right to me--and 1st of all i cut 1" instead of 1.5" squares and wondered shy they didn't fit--urg!!;000
Your little piece is looking very richly colored--nice No Mo in my photos--I gave up on windows "10" and went back to my old "8"..

  7. First, I love your bright colorful Part 1, it will be a perfect table topper for a bouquet of late summer zinnias or dahlias, just like you've shown. I think we're all having technical difficulties these days, but we are nothing if not determined, and we will find a way!

  8. That is such an exciting little zinnia quilt - just the thing to brighten up an icy Winter Christmas. Well done you!

  9. I love the block with the flower in the center!

I wonder if you need to put the phone's software/drivers on the computer to make it work. My phone did that - couldn't get the pictures off without it. I still just e-mail photos to myself if I only need one or two off the phone, though. I wish you good luck getting it figured out! That's the only BAD thing about getting a new phone - have to figure everything out again!!

  11. The colors you have chosen for the quilt are so warm, deep and work harmoniously!

  12. This is why we procrastinate making changes, sometimes. That subconscious knowledge that it will not be all smooth sailing. I'm coming late to the post, but only the pic of sweet Mo is not shown. LOVE the flower block.
