One of Those Weeks

Happy Friday! Just a little post today, since I have had endless computer/ internet/ and photoshop probs all week! Couldn't edit photos, couldn't answer emails, on and on--and then my mouse died. Computer mouse that is. Left click was entirely gone...Son fixed it so left click functions went to the right click button, but then I had no copy/ paste/ spellcheck or editing. Fixed that now, so by Monday things should be back on track with a real post.

It wasn't all bad: Mo's beloved groomer has apparently gone off to the Hamptons here for the summer. The new guy was good, but cost a whopping $75.oo. Remember Mo gets no clipping or trim at all, so that was, to me, sky high. My haircuts costs less. And I certainly don't get my hair cut every 4 weeks.

But Mo looked lovely. He was a bit puzzled by the lack of a greasy forbidden jerky treat, our regular groomer's reward for good bath times.

And my friends and I had some fun doings to share on Monday, I hope.

Other thoughts--if you joined the police force ,would you be upset if this was your squad car?  It isn't very manly, is it? I'm sorry but we did laugh at the poor guy. Maybe it is good for patrolling the big boardwalk? (The town's other police cars are --or were!--Dodge Chargers [big sedan] or big beach-capable SUVs, like Chevy Tahoes or Yukons.

Tomorrow's pot luck brings for a BBQ dinner:
*hot bacon / vinegar slaw.

*Tomato salad with balsamic dressing and zucchini curls, corn, tiny new potatoes and fresh basil. Feta on the side for dairy free.

*Dessert is fresh strawberries and coconut milk ice cream, dairy and gluten free.

*I plan to bring my own wine, I can't drink the red everyone is liking this summer. Whispering Angel rose` for me. Have a great weekend!

  1. Mo looks so puzzled and cute all wet! I'm sure he was wondering where his usual person was.

You'll be so glad when you get your new mouse!

I probably would have laughed or at least smiled at the poor little police car, too...

Why can't you drink the red wine? Not taste good?

    1. Hi! Good thing Mo loves everyone. The guy was nice in person, but seemed rude when texting for appt, so I was watching it all carefully.
The new mouse arrived! It seems too big for my hand but I am sure I ll get used to it, supposedly this size is better, less cramping of hand, wrist.

Wouldn't you hate to arrive at say a robbery or a potential riot in that little clown car!?

Some red wines I like the taste of of--my friends often serve very fine delicious wine. Red wine gives me a migraine tho, so I only drink a small portion, like one inch.

  2. Oh, he is too cute when he's wet! Looked pretty tuckered out afterward. Eeek, $75 seems expensive. Was it a mobile service, or you took Mo to them?

Sorry about all of the computer/internet issues. Makes you realize how much we depend on technology...

That little car is barely a step up from a golf cart, lol.

The potluck will be fun. The menu sounds delicious! Have a wonderful weekend :)

  3. I have to say the squad car is a bit out of place? Not sure if even Barney Fife would drive it for his job? Wow, 75.00 for a small doggie bath - hmmm. Love the expression on his face where your hand is nearby. What a ham. Menu sounds delish. Enjoy and be blessed.

  5. Computer problems are the worst. My mouse keeps dying. I have to unplug it, then plug it back in and it works for a while -- until it doesn't. I bought another one but it just doesn't fit my hand like the old one.

That first photo of Mo looks like a painting -- a fabulous painting!

I just could not pay $75.00 for a bath and toe clip, even for our Airedale! She gets groomed at home, baths, clips, and toenails clipped. She doesn't much like the bath but loves being clipped.

    Hope you're now getting comments!

  6. My poor, sweet Mo. He looks so miserable having to endure a bath without a goodie!

Sorry the computer mouse has had problems - glad your son knew how to cripple it along!

Stay dry and scratch the boy behind the ears for me, will you?
