Did you all have snow? I certainly did not expect THIS despite the ongoing frigid temps....
See the snow on the dunes, below? And the squall lines of snow in the clouds over the ocean?
And more to come this weekend?!?
I've only had one calm windless day for beachcombing.
I don't mind the cold, if the temps are above, say, zero? But the icy sand, blown by gale force winds, has kept me indoors.
And the winds have left the beach quite bare...
A rare find, a seahorse skeleton.
Think of this tiny creature being swept all this way from his warm home in the [?] Caribbean. They are not indigenous to the North Atlantic, as far as I know.
I've only ever found one other.
I liked the textures of the seed and berry and seahorse, all found on the wintery tideline together....

Oh I love your finds, especially the sea horse...what a great find! Sorry it has been so cold and snowy... I know it is winter here in Iowa and it isn't even 'winter' yet!! smile...
