September arrived with a string of ten-best most beautiful Summer days.
End os summer painting by Cape Cod artist Liz Hardy. It so captures the suddenly empty beach.
And the traditional Day after Labor Sandcastle, sketched years ago by me.
Mo and I are happily indulging in long peaceful afternoons, every sunny day is a gift to be savored. Lucky for us summer days can last through October, even November in a good year.
This week the local kids went back to school. Odd how influenced many of us are by the school calendar's rhythms, despite not having small school kids anymore. At least the children here don't go back til the Wednesday after Labor Day! And surf camp fills every day til school starts. I tried to be enthusiastic when I visited my little artist friend. She loves school. Below, this was me, bored silly all those years: Art by Chicken Pants Studio. here
I created a blinged up jeans jacket for my friend, she loved it. We were inspired by an online children's catalog.
And then we made friendship bracelets. (She is 5)
Taking advantage of every beautiful day, I finished sewing the binding on Silent Night.
I need to get a friend with a huge capacity washing machine machine to crinkle it up for me. Then I will add the wool app Snowsuit Babies.
Not a fan of the huge white House, though.
Lizzy's Tulips/ Bramble Berries I is almost bound, one more side to finish tomorrow. And I did all the animals for Noah's Ark, even the snakes.
As often is the case I am a bit baffled by Jan P.'s pattern. Again as in Silent Night I have to piece the border partially to create the space for the Ark, dove, and whales. I hope to complete that and maybe the Sun, a Rainbow this next week or two. The cheddar cutie in the background is a next week sneak peak So fun!

Baby Mo is doing fairly well. He will be reevaluated at his appointment in two weeks. No seizures now for three weeks, such a relief not to have him suffering.
He had a bath and spa day with the new young groomer guy. Afterwards he looks so pretty--for a day or two, hahaha.**************************
A few deeper blues in the house now, a nod to the turn of the season to come.
]\Color inspiration? An idea to play with....
I have more quilting to show, part two to come soon. Have a great week.
