Hi ! This week's blog post is delayed a day or so---poor Mo has been rushed to vet with respiratory distress, inability to walk, and [on another issue] the nastiest eye infection/ ear infection which ALL flared up overnight.
Mo saw the vet and has meds for hip/ knee pain/ arthritis, I am finally home and can get my morning shower maybe. [It's almost 4 PM] I will try to post about my little Whatnots quilt and other issues over the weekend.
So grateful to my friend who dropped everything and came to help me carry Mo, and to our vet and veterinary group for such immediate care.
See pic above--I thought we had such an amazing gentle walk yesterday afternoon, our first real walk since I got Covid. Mo seemed perky---but if I look closely at this photo he was so happy to pose for, I see his tail is down. Always a sign of pain or fear in a pug. Please send healing thoughts for my little best friend.
edit: Thank you everyone! As of 8 PM Friday he is resting well and breathing better; he is home.

Lots of love and good wishes for Mo and you too. We never rest easy when our fur babies are sick. Hope he rebounds quickly.

ReplyDeleteOh, no! Dear Mo. I hope the vet provided whatever he needs to be healthy again and I hope that happens quickly. The poor boy. Thoughts and prayers for him and you, too.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read this and will be hold you and Mo in my thoughts for healing and rest
ReplyDeleteOh no. Poor Mo, I'm so sad to hear he is poorly and hope he takes it easy and gets well soon. It's so worrying when our beloved pets get poorly. Hugs and kisses Mo.
ReplyDeleteJean.
Oh no - poor little chap. Glad you were able to get him to the vet quickly and his treatment seems to be working (e.g. breathing better for starters). Plus an eye/ear infection. I wonder what caused that?
ReplyDeleteI had a different, uninformed vet tell me that bec Mo is ''overweight'' [nothing sadder than a too thin pug no no no!]---- he has developed skin folds and wrinkles and the weight issue caused the chronic ear infections! As if she had never seen a Pug before??? and didn't know wrinkles and ruff are a prized breed standard. That said Pugs have furry inner ears w tiny ear canals, very hard to clean, tho I do so daily. So bacteria gets itchy. Then he scratches, misses, and irritates his eye. I am esp concerned about the eye as pugs are prone to eye ulcers, but good vet said no, just a chronic condition, t]lets try a new RX. Breathing ok today but exhausted.
DeleteGet well sweet little Mo.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much everyone. We're exhausted, I got up every hour all nite to check on him, but doing ok. Thankful for always prompt vet appointment and help. And thank you all!
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Mo and you. Sending love and light and I'll hold you both in my heart and in my thoughts.
