That Was Fun

Hello hello, are we having fun as the big celebration is near? The other day I went out with a friend, pub drinks cancelled by covid but we did go to the Festive indoor farmers market and craft bazaar.

I haven't been to the farmers market in two years [ask me why] and this was a real treat.  It's held in this brewery now, maybe all winter if the December days are profitable.

I have to admit shopping in a big down parka, mask, fogged up glasses and catarcact, own bags, credit cards only in the sellers' phones w/poor reception, sigh, is not fun or easy. I couldn't juggle the produce which was gorgeous [golden crown broccoli!]. I did get some lovely cheeses.

LOL I thought this one was a New Jersey cheese artisan, but on close inspection I think it is made from  cows' milk

Very tasty, anyway.

Great pickles! Wish I'd bought the fresh sauerkraut.

Wonderful hot chocholate gifts. I stocked up for snow days.

Fresh bread, so I don't have to bake tomorrow.

Pretty coastal items and tee shirts.

The brewery itself is interesting! I am not a beer drinker but I'd give it a try another day.

Meanwhile, back home, here is our adorable dog walker.

Her hat!

And the spa van came for Mo. He is all mani/pedi'd and shampooed, fluffed and ready for Santa in his [my] favorite sweater.

May your holidays be Merry and Bright!

  1. Your trip to the market looks like it was very fun. Yum to the cheese, yum to the bread--it looks delicious--and yum to the hot chocolate. The credit card only payment thing is a hassle to me. I'm mostly a cash payer but I understand not having cash can be better for the sellers.
Merry Christmas to you and Mo!

  2. Mo looks so comfy and cozy in his adorable sweater;))) Nice that you were able to have that market day despite the discomforts!! We've gotten about 2" of snow overnight and it is still flurrying here...very festive!!
I hope your Christmas is Merry and Bright--hugs, Julierose

  3. So glad you got to go to the market! Interesting that it's in a brewery but nice that they host it, seems like it might be a good partnership for them. You need some cross-body market bags, lol, to keep your hands a little freer! and a fannypack for your other stuff, like phone etc. Or maybe you could design something and use quilt scraps to make it...

I love your dog-walker's hat! That's a cute idea! Was it handmade, or did she buy it - or did she say?

Mo looks good, happy to be all spiffy and have his treat!

Oh, and the bread kind of looks like a just-popped flower bud that's been baked, lol. I hope it tastes as good as it looks!

Happy Christmas! Hope you have a great one!
