summer color story ~ blues and sands |
''Sweet smell of summer, the jasmine's in bloom. July is dressed and playing her tune...summer breeze makes me feel fine...''
Hi everyone! Here are my new scented hearts for summer, in my etsy shop this coming week. These hearts are filled with my special Summer mix of Cape Cod lavender, plus home grown lavender from here at the beach, bergamot, and lemon verbena [dried botanicals enhanced with essential oils, all organic]---with tiny hints of mint and citronella. (The citronella leaves, grown by my friend and dried by me have only a tiny herbal scent, not strong like the candles you buy for the patio. Along with the mint it is of course a natural pest repellent.)

I absolutely adore your hearts. It's the one thing I remember that drew me to your blog all those years ago. Of course, I do have a thing for handmade and for hearts. We got nothing but heat over here, Mo! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSomeday I ll figure out a way to send you some hearts, my longtime friend! Maybe empty and you add the herbs?
DeleteLove the ragged edge seashell hearts ... and the beach glass always!
ReplyDelete102 in the shade yesterday, 105 forecast for Friday deep in the heart of Texas.
Thanks Liz! Oh too hot down in TX!
DeleteI think all the hearts are so pretty, I'd have a terrible time picking a favorite. I spotted a text one!!
ReplyDeleteI generally don't like orange much, except I do like orange flowers, lol. The roses are fantastic, so vivid!
Mo cracks me up. I think he's hinting that he needs a frozen treat...
The beach pictures are wonderful, and the best thing is that YOU could go take them!
We got a tiny bit of rain last night (and I do mean TINY) so it's only 87 today. But muggy. Ugh!
Hope your day is great!
Hi! Yes I use your special text fabric evreywhere, love it!
DeleteI love orange anything, so these flowers were perfect for me. They have deep rose edges on the petals too, makes them extra pretty.
Hope you have cooler weather soon...
love

The hearts are looking fab! Kind of digging the stripes, and the ones with the embroidery seashells. I can see I'll be obsessing over your Etsy shop soon.
ReplyDeleteKind of hot here. Mid 80's, but pretty humid, for us anyway. BUT, today, very overcast, milder, balmy. Great day for reading outside. Lol, when Im hot, I feel like I want to strike that pose ;)
Oh, wonderful that you got down to the beach!
The hibiscus are very pretty. Is that a decorated wine bottle with sand in it?
Happy week to you as well!
Kel
Your weather sounds lovely. Thanks for choosing more hearts from my shop!
DeleteThe wine bottle [you have such sharp eyes!] comes decorated like that and is called something like Summer Table wine. I was going to get a case w a friend but it's quite $$$. Not sure why this friend has it filled with sand, maybe as a door stop or she collected the sand to use in jars w tealights...? I save the bottles to decant olive oil or vinegar. My other friend puts little LED light plugs in hers for her deck table.

DeleteSummer in a Bottle white or rose. About 24.oo a bottle, made here on LI, so maybe it s just local.
At first glance, it looked like the bottle had colored glass stones glued yo it. Now I remember having seen the bottle of wine in a previous blog post of yours. Yeah, seems like it's only available back your way. I bet the little lights inside look so pretty.
DeleteWhat a great design of the pillow are there in it.in the swim coupon
ReplyDeleteYou and Mo both have my heart!
