Beach Days

Happy Monday, guys! Now see, this is why my blog is called Gone to the Beach: today I had planned to complete a long list of errands, then photograph all my current quilty accomplishments to share tonight on my blog here. BUT it is an amazing day, hot, yes but windy and so beautiful. My daughter wanted me to come with her to the beach!! Just us. Plans can change, right? To Do lists are meant to be ignored?  I'll drive into town for poor Mo's acne meds tomorrow. Today we have gone to the beach.

The oystercatchers are much tamer now. Though they still don't much like to have their pix taken.

  1. Yes, I think those lists should be titled "To Do EVENTUALLY!" It looked like a great day for the beach, the sky was so clear and blue! Was the water chilly? I don't see how you can walk on the beach and not be walking in the edge of the water, that's my favorite thing to do. Maybe I'm not as grown-up as I think I am??

I'm glad you let your errands wait and spent the day at the beach with your daughter! She'll grow up and get busy with her own life soon enough, and you'll always have errands to do. Enjoy today!

Thanks for sharing your day with us, too!

    1. Hi! Yes evreyone walks along the water s edge. Altho if there are large flocks of birds I detour around them. Partly not to disturb them and partly t o avoid the poop! The water is currently 74* The waves are often rough in August, if you walk past your knees depth you might be knocked over.

Got most of the errands done today, just not the car wash. I hate the car wash. :-(

  2. You can't pass that up! Not only the beach on a hot day, but your daughter wanted to go with you! Doesn't get much better does it :)

The water looks so inviting, is it cold?

I did some summer stuff this weekend!! Yay, finally! Picnic in Naples, saw the new Mission Impossible movie, took a boat ride today that landed us near the Queen Mary, and had a picnic there too!

I like that you're the kind of person that can postpone errands and instead go to the beach.

  3. What a beautiful day you had! Yes.....lists are often meant to be ignored! Is Mo itchy? One of my pups has seasonal allergies and is constantly chewing on herself. I've been giving her Benadryl and it's been helping.
