Hello! I'm sure you noticed how early it is getting dark these days. Here at the beach we love to drag out summer, and I am not much in an autumn mood...but I pulled some photos from previous Septembers.

Sure doesn't feel like September, though I do notice how much earlier it's getting dark in the evenings. That's the part I don't like. We've been having a bit of a heat wave here for a week or so, and it's supposed to continue through the weekend, so it still feels very much like summer.

Hi! It s been very hot here too but today is grey and blustery. I am looking forward to my first ''fall'' beach walk, just waiting for low tide. :-)

ReplyDeleteIt has been very chilly here for a couple days - highs in the 50s! - and it made me hope we were actually going to have a 'fall' for a change instead of going directly from summer heat to winter cold. I actually LIKE sweater weather! Not sure how long it will last, though.

I agree with you! Here in this northern state we hang on to Summer like grim death! It has been lovely here after having our first frost. I lost a few plants but the rest are going strong and I am still watering and enjoying the outdoors. :) Kit
ReplyDeleteI'm hanging onto summer for as long as possible, although the nights have been chilly and I'm seeing some color in the trees..... Fall is on the way.
