My mom used to drop in cubes of Velveeta "cheese" and oyster crackers.

I rarely make this, but when I do Dear One knows I've either had a very tough day or I'm getting sick.

Your stir fry looks delicious. Photos of your cooking always makes me hungry.

Hugs.
HunterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-16711781475859127592012-12-12T23:20:14.063-05:002012-12-12T23:20:14.063-05:00I just want to point out the reasons for cooking t...I just want to point out the reasons for cooking the meats separately, *not the size of the pan*:

but because 1- some eaters want beef, some want chicken, some want no meat at all. The separate pans reduce the quibbling.

2- I like the veggies barely cooked, the meats, esp the chicken take longer....Lizzy Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13925662100321427762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-77015487081741421602012-12-12T19:40:54.037-05:002012-12-12T19:40:54.037-05:00I have a wok, so I can stir fry all in one pan...u...I have a wok, so I can stir fry all in one pan...unless there are more than 3 of us, then I have to make 2 pans because I put in so many veggies! Sometimes I wish I lived hear one of the big fancy grocery stores - one of my friends did, and just went through the salad bar to get her already-washed-and-cut veggies. She'd go home, slice the meat and heat the pan, and PRESTO! Dinner in just about 10 minutes! So cheating...

I don't guess I have one particular favorite, either. It depends on the day and the situation and the weather. Sometimes I crave potato soup. Sometimes I want stir-fry. Other times it could be chili, hamburger soup, or Ramen! MOST of the time chocolate is good but sometimes I want something else more.

I hope more of your stores and your local market are back in working order before the weather gets too cold!

Take care,
~Melody

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-30655281501151063102012-12-12T11:39:56.156-05:002012-12-12T11:39:56.156-05:00Hubby's comfort food is Kraut-brot - think gro...Hubby's comfort food is Kraut-brot - think ground seasoned meat, cabbage, and onions in bread dough ... a German empanada kind of a thing.

My comfort food? Lipton's Chicken Noodle Soup from an envelope ... easy, fast, soothing, salty ... a warm salt like, as it were.

Glad I'm not the only one who stir fries in more than one pan!

LDooley Girlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06957214398261154034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-18775788363666008032012-12-12T02:52:37.675-05:002012-12-12T02:52:37.675-05:00It seems I don't have faves and comfort foods....It seems I don't have faves and comfort foods.
