The grabbers are good, but not like doing something yourself! I think it would be so exciting to find sea glass!! My Rusty is having hip issues too. Must consult with the vet this week. He's heavy and gets very little exercise...sad

Continue to heal my friend, your I my prayers.
GertGerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01155756653275943469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-2258369053780761662016-05-12T23:44:39.645-04:002016-05-12T23:44:39.645-04:00Hi Kel! I never previously gave him treats during walks. After his walk, he has a little routine of tricks he does/ performs for treats only. BUT someone else could have used treats when walking him or even he maybe just smelled them in my pocket and got the idea? Also he may stop because he wants me to carry him, pugs love being carried. And now since I cannot lift and carry him, he has me trained. I throw a treat, we walk 1o paces, I throw a treat, etc. I bought special low cal dry treats but now today he refused to walk for them! He likes smelly bacon pepperoni treats. Mo looks sort of sweet and dumb but he is actually really smart and crafty. He weighs at least 25 pounds so you can imagine I can t lift him and carry him much. I have no idea how I ll retrain him once I am able to walk better again.....Lizzy Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13925662100321427762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-61815154705772777162016-05-12T23:36:17.727-04:002016-05-12T23:36:17.727-04:00PS I do paint, not so well but as always I have ev...PS I do paint, not so well but as always I have every confidence I can do a big beach painting, whether or not that is actually a realistic goal.Lizzy Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13925662100321427762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-65813773862307551842016-05-12T23:34:48.185-04:002016-05-12T23:34:48.185-04:00hahaha. I just don't usually have anything educated to say ;)

WQW! Those irises are so pretty, as is the beach. The lighting in the last few pics is so cool. They really would be great paintings, or like Mel said, have them printed on canvas.

Sorry you're still feeling some pain. Tongs and those grabber things really are a good idea aren't they? I'll be utilizing them to retrieve cat toys like Mel.

Are you being too nice to Mo, when he decides he doesn't want to walk? Has he trained you? My neighbor takes treats with him on his walks with his dog to keep him moving. I sometimes fill-in and I don't play that game ;) I was worried he (Gogo) would hold it against me, but he's always happy to spend time with me.

I really hope you feel better soon. I hope you can make it out to the beach to hunt for treasures that you can share with us.

I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day. The flowers are lovely, and that wine bottle! Nice!

Kel Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-78684190264125502762016-05-11T22:50:27.524-04:002016-05-11T22:50:27.524-04:00I have some 'grabbers' that fold for stora...I have some 'grabbers' that fold for storage, they'd be great for you. The grabby end can swivel 90-degrees, too, which makes it easier to grab some things. They cost a whole $10. I use them to get cat toys out of awkward spaces or out from behind furniture without having to stand on my head! Very handy.

You're right, I think a lot of your pictures would make great paintings - or even just get them printed on canvas from one of those places. A few of wild waves would look cool in one of those glass FractureMe prints, too - make the water look alive. I've seen you do watercolors in your sketch book, but I've never seen you paint - I assume you do, or at least have? I used to a long time ago, sometimes I think it'd be fun to take up again (like I need another hobby). I'm a lot less critical of myself now so it'd probably be more fun! So, I'd love to see what you might paint!

Maybe Mo is having sympathy pains - you need a little wagon to go on walks with so he can ride back and you don't have to carry him! Maybe you could find one of those 'umbrella' strollers at the thrift store - he'd be cute riding in one, and it might work as a cane or walking stick if needed, too. Don't over-do!

And we never get tired of looking at your projects, even if we don't quilt. We like to admire!Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17248202844330247654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-25393426042113032632016-05-11T21:47:35.068-04:002016-05-11T21:47:35.068-04:00There's more than one way to skin a cat. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
