The platters are very nice and look to be in good condition. Usually that stuff doesn't do it for me, but they really are pretty. And, your little figurine is precious. Used to love getting those little books from the library.

Wish I could have seen Mo at the dog park for the first time. Glad it was a positive experience for both of you.

Thanks for sharing all of your finds with us.

OH! The tweed jacket is a great idea. I kind of only have a jean jacket or zip up hoodies too, and I like the idea of the jacket as an alternative.

KelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-70537930584275938122014-10-21T15:45:00.833-04:002014-10-21T15:45:00.833-04:00So happy to hear from you Peggy! My mom used to tell about travelling w/ her mom on cruise ships and the kids would slide on the decks on big serving trays. More fun than organized entertainment, I m sure.

I haven t found out about glass thimbles that are plain like this one is. I picture it being a goveaway, maybe with Pyrex or FireKing? But that s just my imagination..

he Hoover thimble sounds cool.

Do you have your mom's tablecloth? Yes, I see it a lot, that design. 30's? So maybe not made by your mom but your grandma?Lizzy Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13925662100321427762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-10399191904263921582014-10-21T09:16:06.713-04:002014-10-21T09:16:06.713-04:00Hi Lizzy. I seem to have gone through some phase of self change and no longer do my blog although I think I may start it all over again.
I love this blog post. So many beautiful and warm hearted pieces that you picked up. I love them all. And Mo is just precious. So glad to see all is well with you. I am watching via the emails, just haven't been responding. Sorry. Life changes and I'm re-routing.... Love always.Peggy Beckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00157362253527895166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-91426819138691770552014-10-20T18:45:07.280-04:002014-10-20T18:45:07.280-04:00Cool finds. I have a Hoover's campaign thimble somewhere. Do you use a thimble when you sew? I'm curious about the glass one.

Mo cracks me up, I'm glad he had fun at the dog park -- but of course HE still has plenty of energy after all that!

The embroidered tablecloth with the baskets? I'm pretty sure my Mom had one just like that. I'm guessing it was a popular pattern.

Looks like you had a good time and a good haul!Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17248202844330247654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8918333902682601699.post-91440427936423779402014-10-20T16:30:08.205-04:002014-10-20T16:30:08.205-04:00Happy Monday!
