And All Through the House.....

It's raining hard, on this first day of winter.
But it's warm---my lonely mockingbird, who rules the locust tree outside my window here, has been vigorously bathing in the deep puddles. He is gloriously pearly gray, with black and bright white trim. He preens and fluffs and hopes for a lady bird to join him.
And he now sits glaring in the holly tree. He is waiting for me to deliver his daily dose of dried wild blueberries. He is spoiled!

Inside the house it's bright and cozy. At the store I found hot chocolate and Peeps Stars [marshmallows].We're ready for Santa! How about you guys?

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...."

  2. Night before last I looked at the outdoor thermometer and it said 6.1F.... COLD! Our ice and snow is still here & one of our garage doors was frozen shut for 2 days. I think winter is here!

I love the mockingbird picture, it looks like he was posing for you! We usually have one around here in the summer but they leave in the fall. I guess now we know where they go!

Hope you and yours have a great Christmas!
