Pink Sand, Long Sunsets...

Hi! Are you guys in the pink? Hope so....
Isn't peony pink supposed to be The Color of 2011? The new turquoise, lol? Hmmmm... I am not so sure. But----

I secretly adore pink.
I have a set of palest pink Shabby Chic/ Target bed linens: yes! palest pink. With ruffles! (happy sigh). Under duress I claim the sheets are white, just an unfortunate laundry thing. You know. I even contemplated pink cotton slipcovers at one point...but I was soundly outvoted by the kids....

I always wanted to do a Pink Saturday post....
But pink isn't a commonly found color on the beach.

So yesterday when I found this unusually pink quartz beach pebble Heart stone....

and some pink shells....

And a very rare starfish! In pink!

And, oh yes! Almost June! The first beach roses are blooming in the warm hollows of my dunes, making the salt air smell like fine perfume...

Well, it was meant to be...

I tucked the last sweet pink ranuncula tucked into my  lilacs....

By mid-May the sun has moved its evening home very far north....
The long spring and summer nautical twilight casts a magical pink color across the beach, turning the white sand pink...

And my pockets filled with pinky treasure.

Like a little bit of Heaven, I sometimes think.

Enjoy your weekend! Maybe----treat yourself to something Pink? I'm off to CVS for Ballerina Pink nail polish like this OPI Suzy and the Lifeguard pink! (How hilariuos is that!) Check out all the great pinks here, for summery toes---perfectly pink. At the beach....
